Business Overview

  • Pursuing food and community safety and security
We were established in 2008 in the mild climate of Hiroshima and the Seto Inland Sea as the agricultural business division of the Libera Group, whose mainstay business is global shipping. Our policy is to pursue safety and security of “food” and “community” through production of value-added agricultural products, flood control by restoring satoyama, and landscape conservation.
  • Cultivation of olives, rice and crops
The satoyama will be preserved through olive cultivation taking advantage of the Seto Inland climate, rice cultivation in terraced rice paddies that retain the scenery and atmosphere of the past, and the utilization of fallow land through the cultivation of a variety of agricultural products such as lemons, citrus fruits, and plums.
  • Cultivation of rice with special care
We take advantage of the long hours of sunlight, the terraced rice paddies on the island, and the clean water that springs from the mountains to grow our rice. We are committed to farming methods that have been handed down from generation to generation and are suited to this region.
Our commitment to pesticide-free farming starts from the seedlings. We carefully select the best seeds from our own seeds, which have been passed down from generation to generation, to grow seedlings. No pesticides are used from seedling to harvesting, as well as for weeding and pest control.
Rice harvested in the traditional “haze-hanging sun-drying” method is naturally dried in terraced rice paddies. By drying the rice in the sun, the rice receives the blessings of fresh sea breezes and sunshine, and takes time to dry, allowing the nutrients and flavor components to permeate the rice.
  • Regional Development and Creation of Tourism Bases
With the food and merchandise it handles, the company develops businesses that bring opportunities for hometown revitalization and job creation. We are working to ensure that many visitors have an irreplaceable time.

Environmental Initiatives and Community Relations

We consider “safe and secure crop production” and “sound agricultural management” to be our compliance, and are developing business activities that are friendly to the sea and satoyama through pesticide-free cultivation during the growing season and other methods. We promote local production of new crops and establishment of local brands for the purpose of contributing to society and revitalizing local communities, while also working to expand local employment.
